Forest Hill Vineyard Block 8 Chardonnay 2005

Denmark, Western Australia. Screwcap. Approx $A55 from restaurant wine list.
Fresh and lively, tight, focused and gently powerful.
Pale and radiant. Struck match, peach and almond meal nose. Opens with juicy acidity before lovely creamy almond essence like flavours and power. The acid structure of this wine is superb - it has a pleasing tang and mineral edge. It is refined and elegant, but bristling with flavour and vigour.
Very good - excellent.
18/20 (94/100).
Drink now - 2009.

Sounds very nice. They do a good line in chardonnay down there I think.

GW,
I am fond of Great Southern chardonnay - the howard park and houghton pemberton I usually enjoy. Forest Hill look like they are doing some interesting things.
