January Housekeeping

Summertime and a ripe peach if not in my hand or my mouth, is often on my mind. Curious then, to find out today, that its scientific name is Amygdalus persica. I have 2 amygdala in my brain. It is why I am able to feel scared and afraid, sad and disgusted.

What could such negative emotions have in common with a peach?
Amygdala is from the Greek word αμυγδαλη - amygdalē, which refers to an almond.
Each amygdala in our brain resembles an almond in shape, as does the stone inside a peach. . .

What has this to do with housekeeping? Not much!

For the record though - I have changed the colour of the blog from black to white, at least until next Winter. Secondly I have had to change the time setting from Western Australian time to Greenwich Mean Time, as this seems the only way to get blogger to correctly archive my posts. Which is important to me and my obsessions, if no one else!

The white is messing with me! Winosapian is supposed to be black!

GW,

It wasn't easy ditching the black! White seems to be the right thing for the season though, don't you think?
