Recommended reading: The wine wanker

Prior to reading an excellent post about pinot noir on the The wine wanker, I never thought it possible to think of Pamela Anderson and pinot noir together. Now, I will have no hope, of being able to repress this idea, when I next open a bottle of over oaked and overly alcoholic pinot. I fear that this idea and image will soon replace, in my mind, the Bob Campbell (MW) descriptor - 'tad pole' wine. Which up until now, I would think of whenever I came across a wine that was all extract and up front, with nothing left at the finish.

Can I strongly suggest that you take a look at the post. For lovers of pinot noir it is a must read summary of a conference session, discussing the love of pinot, that Jules had the good fortune of attending.

Thanks for the recommendation. I read it and really enjoyed it. It certainly raised some good questions and thoughts. I am a big Pinot Noir fan so anything Pinot certainly gets my attention.
Cheers!
