Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 1999

bruce lee statue hong kongPauillac, Bordeaux, France. 13% alcohol. Cork.

Enjoyably tough and sinewy, though perhaps with more meat than this statue of Bruce Lee, which is located on the Tsim Tsa Tsui 'Avenue of Stars' promenade in Hong Kong.

Deep, ripe blackcurrant and a trace of creaminess and graphite. Firm without being austere. Lead pencil, gripping and meaty tannins. Could do with a little more fruit length, though still clearly a wine of pedigree, poise and style.

Very good - excellent.
