Reticent and sulphurous to begin, the cliché of river stones is hard to avoid. Despite it's youth there is already a hint of honey and bruised apple, though overwhelmingly the impression with time is of freshly cut green beans. Vibrant and stony, crisp and lively. Sappy, herbal and grassy, this is tight and yet expansive in its flavours and form.
Very good - excellent.

Hi Ed - I notice that you have conveniently left out the price - is your wife reading the blog again? Love your last couple of selections, by the way - keep it coming!
Well spotted! I was planning on adding prices a few weeks down the track. . .
Hi Ed
I tried a
Chablis Premier Cru 2005
Domaine des Malandes, Vau de Vey
in the summer..notes similar to yours here..Chablis Vintage 2005 is a classic one..is worth the money..I know what my bottle cost..I won't tell Joe unless I get your permission..he is only drinking under $ 12 bottles at the moment.
Barry,
Well said. I'll be bold and add the prices tonight!
Barry - you still pushing that Vau de Vey? Just kidding, I stashed a few 2004s away in my cellar to see how they turn out. The '05s sold out so fast - there are just a few bottles left in the province. It is going to be a serious hunt to get one! It's not ALL cheapies, by the way...
Ed - don't let him pressure you - your wife sounds just like mine - you can wait!
