Wine blogging Wednesday #42

Many thanks to Andrew for hosting WBW#42 and for devising the clever theme. His challenge was to pick a Red Italian wine and describe it in 7 words. After struggling with typical wine descriptors I opted for two metaphors and a venn diagram.

Post script:

Firstly a hat tip to indexed for the inspiration. Second, the full tasting note is here. Third, an explanation for the metaphors. Prancing stallion = Ferrari = Italian excellence = Expensive. Prancing stallion = Horse = Muscle definition and structure = Horse hair and saddle = Rustic. Man in Armani = Italian style = Expensive = Flair = Sought after

Hi Ed,
Perhaps the next challenge can be a Haiku!

Is that a napkin, Edward? Ferrarmani could have made for a suitable made up word. Good stuff.

it seems a shame to use just seven words to describe a Tig...

Cassandra and Megan, Thanks!

Maiken, Not sure about Haiku, but more odd tasting notes might be in order.

David, A napkin would have been perfect, but I think my fountain pen would have been a little too streaky :)

Joe, True, hence the venn diagram :p

Rock! Love it! We loved the whole scribbling aspect of coming up with the words too :)
