Leo Buring Leopold Riesling 2007
DWK 20 Leopold. Tasmania. 12%. Screwcap. Approx $A30.
Up until yesterday, I had no idea Leo Buring made a Tasmanian riesling. I can report that it's well worth the search. I would say its close to the best 07 riesling I've tried so far.
Thrilling and captivating, this is tight, expressive, and vibrant. It pulsates with energy, imparting crunch and a jolt of acid along with bright apple, lime and blossom like flavours. Linear and precise, though still juicy and shocking.
Excellent. I must buy some more.

I want!
May I ask what store you purchased it from?
Jesse,
Harborne and Cambridge. I think they only had 3-4 bottles left. . .
Wow, I'll definitely be searching for a bottle of this one. Sounds excellent...
Jesse,
I bought a few more bottles yesterday. There are probably 6 left in the fridge. . .
Julian,
Would be interested in what you think. There is an amazing lack of Tassie riesling on offer.
Thanks, I've been meaning to go there for a while.
