When you are such a poor gardener, any bloom is worth celebrating and recording. Japanese Anemone is supposedly easy to grow, which makes my stunted, snail bitten, survivor look all the more forlorn.

That is a sad looking one; we occasionally have one bloom out-of-season (here in Northern California where this is very mild winter). Our problem now is that they're spreading like crazy...I have to pull them out!

I feel even more inadequate now ;)
I've tried twice to grow this, and I think this is only the second time I have managed to get a bloom (if you can call a single flower a bloom!).
