The image of course has nothing to do with the wine, though I suspect this is how I might see the building should I be standing at the corner, in my current state of mild inebriation. . .
The wine in question was lovely. From a warm cellar, it appears middle aged and cuddly. Cedar and blackcurrant with a hint of earth and rosewood. Notably sweet (in my mind and in relation to its European peers) and creamy before becoming more grainy and expansive. I liked the pace and warm generosity.
Very good - excellent.

thanks for that comment on the wine there kenneth!
happy new year 40 something doctor from perth, or edward for short.
this wine brings back some great memories when i was working at como wine and spirits in south yarra many years ago. it was actually the day before nye eve and one of the guys i was working with liberated this wine and vintage for not a lot of peso's, if you know what i mean.
still in its youth, the wine was all juicy and wet with plenty of cassis and stewed oak, with both of us proclaiming that we should be drinking this up to 2020 when we would both be liver soaked old farts.
all the best
tim
Kenneth,
I've stopped doing link exchanges on request, and now link on whim only. Best of luck with your site.
Tim,
Happy new year!
I have slightly more ambivalent memories of Moss Wood (the auspicious 1995 vintage in particular), though in fairness it was probably the 10 or bottles that preceded it that made me so unwell. . .
