The more expensive and manicured sibling is not always the prettiest. As the talented GW pointed out this is deeper, but not necessarily better. . . Rose petal and tar, this is clothed in spiced oak and balsam. Gripping and rich, this is rounder and more velvet like, with a hint of mocha, Turkish delight and lovely fine creamy tannins. 93. The decanter would appeal to your scientific nature Eduardo? The standard wine seems truer to Nebbiolo-ness I'd say?

PS. Nice to receive a complement (although I'm largely self-saucing in this respect).I get things pelted at me quite often over at TWF!
GW,
I can but imagine what barbs get directed your way, which makes what you do all the more impressive.
On the topic of scientific decanters - my worst buy, so far - is a tall skinny one which is two feet high and 7cm in diameter. It spills wine all over the place, even when it is not being knocked over. . .
