Supplies. . .

Winter's chill is mostly here, which helps explain why in the middle of the day, I've taken to wearing my pyjama bottoms. Olive green cotton with white stripes, it's the perfect clash for my 100% synthetic dark purple skivvy I bought from Uniqlo. . .

Perhaps it's my faulty memory, but I seem to recall last winter being particularly trying. In retrospect, the fears surrounding Swine flu were overdone, but at the time they did blacken my mood.

With the day outside punctuated by rain and bursts of brightness, I've taken to stocking up for the long nights ahead. Books, wine and ice cream should hopefully make the months ahead more bearable. . .

Ed.....I hate winter....and found out a few years ago...that I never feel top fit until the sun's rays return....

I read somewhere..that it has a name....winter sufferers....
Can you prescribe 6 months in the sunshine somewhere?

Mind you we have summer ahead here in Germany....maybe we can arrange an exchange

Do you snore?

Barry,

It's called S.A.D - seasonal affective disorder, supposedly the thing to do is sit infront of a bright light and exercise.

I'm like you, I much prefer the sunshine and the embrace of a warm night.

Snoring. . . I think that depends on how much wine I've just consummed :)

Ed....so...if I understand correctly...I sit in front of a naked light bulb(the bulb being hopefully the only one naked) and exercise for 6 months......won't I spill wine from the glass or does lifting the glass count as exercise?

Barry,

Being naked with the lights on is (usually / sometimes) good, though at the moment I'm battling some other affliction (lost my voice and can't smell, which is probably the main reason I dislike winter), so staying dressed and warm is my main desire!
