Beechworth, Victoria. Pinot noir. 13.5%. Cork. Approx $A65.Medium crimson and seemingly unfiltered. Pretty nose, though in amongst the raspberry jelly and strawberry is a hint of resin and haystack. Full and extracted, tasted blind I would have guessed Central Otago. Sappy, smoked and savoury, it's quite compelling without being beautiful. 90. Now - 2012.
